Outfit | What I Wear To Work

So I'm finally getting round to continuing my series of outfit posts on what I wear to work after last posting about my Noa dress in January. You can find the rest of posts in the series in What I Wear To Work.

Ivory Pintuck Blouse - Mint Velvet || Fresno Pebble Wash Skinny Jeans - Mint Velvet || Handbag - ASOS || Boots - Primark

Oh what's that you say Jaye has bought more jeans? Yes I confess I've bought a new pair of jeans for work, so say hello to the Fresno Skinny Jeans. I bought these to replace my Phoenix Jeans (which I wore constantly), I really wanted a lighter pair of jeans and I absolutely love the colour of them.
I do love a good blouse and as soon as I saw this one I knew I had to have it, lovely and floaty especially for this nice weather we've been having.

Now I don't usually where heeled boots for work but when I took these photos last week I thought I'm only working a short shift so why not. Big mistake! I was out for a lot longer than I thought I would be and after leaving my house around 10.30 I didn't get back until around 9pm. I still love them though.

Outfit | Ripped

Stripes (3)Stripes (1)hhStripes (1)-Stripes (2)-
Faux Leather Jacket - H&M || Ivory Stripe Double Top - Mint Velvet || Jeans - Asos || Boots - New Look

I actually can't remember where I wore this outfit but I do know that I absolutely love it! I got this top sometime last year as part of my work uniform because I loved the floaty top layer and the fitted vest underneath. These jeans are one of my favourite pair, although they are slightly too big because ASOS for some reason don't really like doing a 27 waist but I still love them.

Finally these boots were a bargain find at £20 but me being me I didn't realize they were wide fit, so they are a little bit big. Shortly after taking these pictures I wore these jeans again and I accidently put my foot through the rip and not the whole leg, ripping them even further (whoops).

Outfit | Noa

Just a quick outfit post on another piece from my Mint Velvet work uniform. I'm definitely a jeans and a t-shirt, blouse or jumper girl, don't get me wrong I love wearing a skirt and a dress but more often than not you'll find me traipsing about in a pair of jeans; especially at work. That all changed (albeit briefly) when this dress came in at work. Let me introduce you to the Noa Dress.

I fell in love with the print and the style as soon as I saw it which luckily for me just happened to be the day it was delivered to our store. I think I bought the dress as uniform sometime in July or August (which is when these pictures were taken, I know a long time ago) but I've only worn the dress to work about two times much to the dismay of my manager.

I really do love the dress but I felt uncomfortable working in it especially when walking up and down stairs all day.
There are also two other tops in the Noa collection, the Noa Print Double Layer Top and the Noa Print Side Ruched Top.
You can read more about the story of the Noa Print in the Mint Velvet Magazine here.

Outfit | Flowers in Paris

Cami, H&M - £9.99 | Silk Pencil Skirt, Mint Velvet -£19.75 | Wedges, Parmar - £10

I wore this outfit to my friends 21st birthday party. This top is actually a size 14, normally I'd wear an 8 or 10 but I accidentally picked this size up instead and when I finally bought the 10 it was really across my chest so I ended up sticking with the 14.

As soon as I saw this skirt at work I knew I had to have it, it is a bit awkward to walk in when the zip is all the way down so I've opened it up a bit. I had a bit of a struggle with it when I tried to fit it in with the rest of my uniform as I thought they were just too long or they just didn't look right. I have a couple of work tops that I think will work well with it so I'm just going to give it a try and see how it turns out.

Outfit | Double Denim

Tencel Western Shirt, Mint Velvet - £14.75 (Uniform) | Faux Leather Waistcoat, Primark - Gift | Skinny Jeans, Primark - £13 | Bag, Primark - £12 | Zip Up Buckle Boots, Primark - £18 | Gold Boyfriend Watch, ASOS - £17.60

Once again I'm still in love with these jeans, so much so that I'm debating buying another pair.
This shirt was an instant buy at work for me. I'm very difficult when it comes to choosing my uniform because I don't like to buy uniform just for the sake of buying it, I like to buy uniform that I can see myself wearing outside of work and when we finally started getting shirts with collar's I knew I had to get one.

I haven't got a good shot of my shoes in here but you can see them better here. I'm not a big heels wearer I normally wear these chunky boots or some ankle boot wedges I have and I only normally wear them when I go out somewhere, but I thought let's do something different so I wore them out during the day when I went to visit a friend.

OOTD | Uniform #4

Cool Blue Drape Knit Tunic, Mint Velvet - £17.25 | Black Coated Jeggings, Mint Velvet - £19.50 | Knitted Cuff Boots, New Look - Gift

I actually quite like these shots, they were taken some time in January with and insanely cool Canon 60D that I took out from uni to test. I'm saving up for a DSLR as I'm sick of continuously getting blurry photos on my Samsung Bridge camera.

Anyway onto the outfit. This is more of my work uniform. I brought the top in January and I love it, the only two downsides are that the sleeves are sometimes quite itchy and you can't really wear it without something underneath as it's very see through. I bought the trousers were brought in the sale I thought it was about time to buy some seeing as though I don't own any black trousers. The only downside with these is that despite getting 8R they're still short for my legs.

Outfit | Uniform #3

Quilted Sleeve Jacket, Primark - £25 | Wine Snood, Primark - £5 | Black Ivory Blocked Tee, Mint Velvet - £14.75 | Indigo Boyfriend Jeans, Mint Velvet - £14.75 | Chelsea Boots, Primark - £10

I had forgotten that I started doing posts on what I wear for work. You can see the first two here & here.

I've worn this look a few times but I've stopped recently as it made me feel to boxy, I love the top but I feel more comfortable wearing it with my skinny jeans but they have holes in them now form my persistent wearing. I'm waiting until the new year when my new allowance kicks in so I can buy me a new pair.
I don't love these boyfriend jeans as much as I did when I bought them. There's nothing wrong with them the problem is with me and how to wear them, so I've been searching through the blogosphere to find bloggers that have styled them to my liking.

P.S. As you can probably tell by reading this, I've had this in my drafts for a while oops

Outfit | Boyfriend

Two Tone Blazer, H&M - £7 | Tessa Print Button Back Blouse, Mint Velvet - £14.75 | Indigo Boyfriend Jeans, Mint Velvet - £14.75 | Zip Up Buckle Boots, Primark - £18

Okay so I didn't actually wear this, well it's close enough. I actually wore this outfit with my skinny jeans to dinner with a couple of work friends a few weeks back, but I'm forever showing my skinnies on the ol' blog so I thought I'd show you something different.
I've had this blouse for months but this is the first time I've bothered to do an outfit post with it. These shoes aren't they just heavenly! I found one shoe in a size 4 at my local Primark, so I made a trip down to Lakeside to find my size. I was a bit unsure as to whether chunky shoes would suit me but I absolutley love them.
P.s I hope you like my socks, I usually have them sticking out of my boots

OOTD: G-Star

 Contrast Leather Sleeve Jacket, H&M - Gift | Bag, Label Lab @ House of Fraser - Gift | Top, G-Star RAW - Dad's old top | Indigo Double Zip Jeans, Mint Velvet - £17.25 | Boots, H&M - £24.99

I actually cannot remember where I wore this outfit or how long ago I took these pictures, but I think it was  sometime in mid September. I absolutely love this outfit, I have quite a thing for men's tops so when my dad gave me this one I knew I had to pair it with a pair of boots and skinny jeans. Obviously my trusty work jeans had to be worn, but stay tuned to see my new jeans in the next few weeks. These jeans never look as blue in pictures as they actually are. Strange
