Film | In the Cinema - December

Welcome to the first In The Cinema post with some films that are released this month.

The Man With The Iron Fists – On the hunt for a fabled treasure of gold, a band of warriors, assassins, and a rouge British soldier descend upon a village in feudal China, where a humble blacksmith looks to defend himself and his fellow villagers.

I, Anna – A noir thriller of a femme fatale who falls for the detective in charge of a murder case.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey – A curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug.

Smashed – A married couple whose bond is built on a mutual love of alcohol gets their relationship put to the test when the wife decides to get sober.

Life of Pi – A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor, a fearsome Bengal tiger.

West of Memphis– An examination of a failure of justice in the case against the West Memphis Three.

Jack Reacher – A homicide investigator digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims.

Zaytoun – Beirut, 1982: a young Palestinian refugee and an Israeli fighter pilot form a tentative bond in their attempt to make their way across war-torn Lebanon back to their home.
